The 19th Workshop on Nanoscale and Mesoscopic Systems

"Nanowires and Nanotubes"
May 22-23, 2009
Korea Institute for Advanced Study

Nanowires and nanotubes have been one of the strongest driving forces in the field of mesoscopic and nanoscale physics. Recently introduced new synthesis technologies have also brought new types of semiconductor-based nanowires and nanotubes, suggesting another streak of active research in this field. At this workshop, three prominent experimentalists have been invited for the lectures: Profs. Doh, Yong-Joo (Postech), Kim, Ju-Jin (Chonbuk Nat'l Univ), and Park, Ji-Yong (Ajou Univ).

Invited Speakers
Doh, Yong-Joo (POSTECH)
"Several Aspects of Mesoscopic Phenomena in Semiconductor Nanowires" (Lecture Note)
Park, Ji-Yong (Ajou University)
"Electronics of single-walled carbon nanotubes (CNTs)" (Lecture Note)
Kim, Ju-Jin (Chonbuk National University)
"Tailoring of electrical properties in carbon nanotubes with metal electrodes" (Lecture Note)
