At this workshop, two of the most prominent experimenters in this field, Prof. Christian Schoenenberger (Univ of Basel, Switzerland) and Prof. Silvano De Franceschi (CEA/INAC, Grenoble, France), will give lectures on "Mesoscopic Transport in One-Dimensional Systems". The discussions will be focused especially on fundamentals. Current issues and recent progresses in this field will also be discussed.
